Telling their stories - a Pestalozzi journey
|
Spoken through our teams in Zambia and Alumni, this film travels through a child's journey in our Pestalozzi programme. From arriving in our Village to seeing the transformational effects of a Pestalozzi education, to going on to become Alumni. Speaking with the Village Director, our Board Chair and school head, it discusses great expectations and ambitions for the future of our children.
Following that, five of our Alumni share how their lives have changed since leaving our Village, and reflect on how different their lives may have been if they had not had a Pestalozzi education.
Already 'family pillars' and role models for their communities, they tell of their ambitions for the future. All our Alumni interviewed have plans to support other people, from creating Apps to make the world a better place, to building an orphanage to care for children.
We are truly grateful to them for their time and for allowing us to use their stories, so far.

Meet Brian Sitamulaho: Our Zambian Board Chair
|
In this interview Brian, talks to us about why he decided to join Pestalozzi Zambia as the Board Chair, what he finds so fascinating about our charity and how it differs from other NGOs. He also discusses the potential he sees in our children and the future of our Alumni and how they can make the greatest impact on the world. Brian also describes his own childhood, how his education was through the support of others, and how he had to look after himself and his family. Ultimately it was the gift of education along with his intelligence that got him where he is today.
We are truly thankful to Brian, for his fascinating and inspiring interview and for his commitment as Chair of Pestalozzi Zambia.

Join us for an incredible night at our Zambian Village!
|
Sally Dean was Pestalozzi Board Chair for many years, and through her own personal generosity provided many Pestalozzi Alumni with support for university fees.
To honour her memory and celebrate her life we are delighted to present the first Sally Dean Show. All proceeds raised will launch the Sally Dean Memorial Fund which will continue her legacy of supporting our Alumni.
